My Song Writing Process

Many Artists have a formula for how they construct their songs, streamlining the creative process and making it easier to put forth ideas and sculpting a complete song.

As an artist, I am no different in this where I follow a certain template to create my songs. The only problem is that i get reallly bored doing this so in order to keep things fresh, I have several formulas that I move through. In the creative process, there is no wrong way to craft a song only different variations. In the next paragraph i'll outline one my favorite ways of constructing songs.

This is my bread and butter when it comes to constructing songs. When it comes to production and beat making, I always start with listening to other songs for inspiration and a mood.

I love to sample classical music and so i go through enough to find the sound i am looking for. Second, I want to find a good bass to drive the low end of the mix, which is essential to building a full complete mix.

2nd, I make sure that the time is Correct!!! many people overlook this important step and their BPM is off in the mix making it sound low budge! we never want that so make sure to take care of this and utilize that metronome!

Brass Instruments, Harp etc.). I make sure to pan all instruments to give the mix more depth and complexity, so you feel like different sounds are coming from everywhere but they all flow into a carefully constructed mix where none of it sounds out of place.

4th, When im finished with the mix and have the DB levels in a good spot, It's time for me to send that ish to Ableton or any DAW. There I can utilize plugins such as FabFilter to bring out more of the sounds in the mix you are trying to capture.

After I'm done mastering the track, I'm ready to Export and then put it right back into Ableton to record lyrics, which i have several ways of recording also! I hope this helps anyone looking to make or produce music! Never give up and God Bless!!
