A Rightful King

Bound not by blood, but spirit

Surrounded with buds, moonlit

Grow unafraid of the dark

Grounded through floods, amusement

Waters arisen from depths

Fathers been missin' have wept

Below the brave sits the ARK

Copper in his skin, well kept

This poem is about the people guided by their spiritual connection with God that continue to do great works not only in the day but in the darkness when no one else is watching. Those who stay rooted in the service of God throughout the amusement this physical plain floods us with. Money, Cars, Clothes, Drugs, etc. All of which are Illusions.

More specifically, this poem is a story of a King who is sown of good seed but surrounded by bad influences. He doesn't fear God and does not fear committing darkness in the light. the flood represents the Flood of drugs that have terrorized the urban streets and have torn neighborhoods and families apart through the amusement of the Government.

The second stanza is about how obstacles arise out of the depths of the cosmic universe to humble anyone as they sit and await judgment from God himself on where to be positioned in the afterlife.

More specifically, the acts you do catch up with you and have landed many fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters in prison. Especially the colored community. They have missed special events with their families. They have lamented, being trapped in the system. In America it is the Land of the Free and home of the Brave.

In this poem A Rightful King sits under the land of the free cut off from the feeling of home. Being held against his will he is well kept in his own skin awaiting rightful judgment. Not from the system, but to be judged by God himself who knows the absolute truth and will place him in his rightful place on Earth. In the Garden that is well kept.

Hope you enjoyed - ZZ
